Windows forced me into the 24H2 update two days ago. The biggest problem I'm noticing is with the calculator. Usually I press the calculator shortcut button on the keyboard and can immediately type numbers and the calculator app will pick the numbers as I'm typing.
Since the update, the app takes considerably more time to load. Enough for me to view the loading screen (I didn't even know the calculator had a loading screen) and not being able to type anything until the calculator UI shows up on screen.
Calculator is version 11.2411.1.0. The PC is a i7 13700k, 32GB RAM, with windows installed on an NVMe PCIe 4 SSD (not a PC spec issue).
Wanted to know if anyone else is having that issue and if its possible to fix it.
Note:
- Already tried uninstalling/reinstalling the calculator. Problem still happens.
- Problem happens on the first instance of the calculator. If I have a calculator opened, a second one won't have the loading time.
- Problem also happens if I manually enter "calc" on the run dialog (which means is not an issue with the keyboard shortcut).
- My girlfriend is on Win11 23H2 with the same version of the app and she does not have the problem which makes me believe it's a windows issue.
