I always wanted to have a separate boot drive, but never had the chance or the reason to do so.

Lately my Windows 10 developed some problems, so I decided now or never.

The new boot drive I got is quite small (128gb) so all of my user data (around 120 GB, idk how it's that much) won't fit on it.

The best way would be, that I can use my small new SSD just for the windows install. Keep all of my user data (desktop, documents, ...) and all the other data on my old drive. That way I would have a clean new windows install, but I have all of my settings and data.

I have read some other articles and wonder what the best way would be for me to handle my situation.

PS: Of course I tried to repair windows but to no avail. And I can still "normally" use Windows on my old drive.
