I am trying to use clickable mid:<email message ID> links to email messages in other applications, eg word processors. Clicking on such a link in a text file would prompt my Thunderbird (on Windows) to open the associated message. Is that possible? And how would the clickable link be formatted?
Currently, mid:<email message ID> links are recognised in the address bar of Firefox, Chromium and Edge and are handled properly. Thunderbird also opens them on the command line as discussed here.
