I've set up a server, which is meant to be used as terminal server by our students. I'm using Ubuntu Server 24.10 together with KDE Plasma 6.1.5 over xrdp. The home directories for the students are mounted on demand using autofs and sshfs.
I don't manage to hide these mount points from Dolphin's Devices tab. I have tried to mount them using the option x-gvfs-hide, they still appear.
I have tried to hide the whole Devices Tab using KDE's Kiosk mode and respective config files, but there seems to be no option to do this.
I found out that the Setting for hiding the Devices Tab goes into ~/.local/share/user-places.xbel and I was looking for a way to override this file globally, but I couldn't find out where or how.
For context, this is the section I want to hide: Mountpoints
Now there are only two entires, but I expect this to grow a lot when there's actually people using the server.
