I am using Windows 11 with Word as part of "Microsoft Office Home and Student 2021". My system keyboard is English (India), which treats Right Alt as AltGr, such that (for instance) AltGr+a = ā, AltGr+m = ṁ, AltGr+4 = ₹ etc.
However, in Word, only some of these (such as ā, ₹) work. AltGr+m on the other hand seems to trigger some "comment" functionality (that is also triggered by Ctrl+Alt+m). The same happens even if I use the on-screen keyboard (osk.exe) to type that character.
How do I make Word recognise the existence of AltGr? Note that Word has no English (India) display language option (only UK -- which I use -- and US), but the proofing language is already set to English (India).
