I'm facing a strange issue where I can't play 2 separate audio sources at the same time (be it youtube video, VLC, spotify, etc). When I start playing second source the first stops, I have no idea why is this happening.

I'm running debian 12 with KDE plasma, one thing that might have something to do with it is that I've had to install pulse-audio to enable loopback (which is no longer needed). I've purged pulseaudio but it didn't help.

Do you have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix this? It's extremely annoying

I found the problem and have the solution.

The issue was the built-in "Media Flow" (https://store.kde.org/p/1986300) applet. Media Flow has 2 options: auto-pause and auto-resume when another source is playing. Unfortunately, it seems that neither of those options does anything, and the problem went away after I removed the applet.
