Why is my mouse cursor randomly jumping to the top right corner and clicks?

This started yesterday: The mouse cursor on my laptop jumps to the upper-right corner and clicks. Because that's where theclose button is on many programs, sometimes this closes an application.

I assume the problem is with my touchpad and so I disabled it, but this didn't fix the problem.

Touchpad was okay because the problem persisted even after I disabled it.

What solved my problem was to disable the notebook touch screen (HID touchscreen), which behaves like mouse too and is perhaps broken.

I can live without a touchscreen.
