Why does Dell Display Manager 2.x installation fail with the error - 'failed to set process mitigation policy 87' (WindowsPro10/64)?

Download:

EDIT - Disabled both CFG & DEP(unistalled DDM + restarted windows _ installed latest DDM) but the error still persists .Windows now gives a new error 'Error opening file or writing DDM.dll'.This does not happen for the same downloaded DDM installer when CFG & DEP was enabled by default.

I did some testing in a VM of mine with Windows installed and the Dell application installed seamless on it.

Windows Version: Microsoft Windows Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5917)

Disabling Process Mitigation

For solving your issue you must to disable the Process Mitigation.

Hold down CTRL+R, a new prompt windows is gonna show up and then type:

windowsdefender://exploitprotection

And press ENTER. On the Windows Security windows that's gonna to show up, change Control flow guard (CFG) and Data Execution Prevention (DEP) to Off by default.

Then, install the Dell application again succefully. That's it.
