In trying to diagnose this problem I wanted to look at any logging messages for Windows Search indexing. According to many pages (including on Microsoft sites), the log should be at Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > Search > Operational. I have several dozens logs under Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows, but none are Search. Has it moved somewhere else? Do I need to do something to enable logging from the search facility?
