I tried searching in the Chrome's History (chrome://history/) for a word but it didn't find anything.

Is there an addon to search the content of visited pages?

No you can't search the page with its content in the history but a very useful extension called Sexy undo closed tabs can help you, it will keep the record more than history of chrome and easy to find the closed page with the search option with their title

Edit: You can try deeper search addon which can do the job for you. Install it and then in omnibox type dh and press Tab key and search the content and match the history of your browsing data.
