On my Toshiba laptop with a discrete GeForce GT 540M graphics card, as well an integrated Intel HD 3000, it seems like the discrete graphics card is never used. Games run like the Intel HD 3000 is being used, and various settings on the computer have an unchangeable setting of having the Intel HD card selected instead.
Some examples:
Under Device Manager, Display Adapters has listed two things, Intel HD and NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M.
But under dxdiag, display, only the Intel HD is listed.

Im guessing im having an "Optimus" issue as well?
Im wondering if anyone has found a way to fix this, since those two links are old. Ive downloaded latest NVIDIA drivers as per the Geforce Experience program, 340.52. And am on Windows 7 64 bit.
