Long time programmer (from the assembler/Z80) days through some of the newest Java technologies. Still some gaps in there, but filling in some of the web-related ones daily with some Udemy classes as well as real-life chellenges.

Run an ASUS N500 with 16GB RAM, an external 15" monitor, and since my wifi router is a long way aways a BearExtender which is just terrific. Also a HP Stream Tablet with 32GB and a bluetooth keyboard.

Run 8.1 along with Virtual Box, 7 and 10 plus a few *nix flavors.

Liked to play pool before an ankle fusion left me mostly confined to a wheelchair, but hey, as long as I have a keyboard I'm happy.

Been following StackExchange for manya years but never got that involved. Hope some of my experience can help both of us move forward.
