Retired J.D., with long geek history. Wrote payroll, and time&billing programs in BASIC for my father's CPA firm in the early 70's. Used a rented terminal that connected to a timeshare computer far away. Connection involved dialing the number on a phone, then jamming the handset into the two rubber sockets in the terminal. Used yellow paper tape that produced tiny confetti that was the best ever for throwing up in the air at football games.

My first computer was a Commodore 64. Then I saw a sign at a strip mall, "Build Your Own Computer" at a tech shop that charged for bench space and expertise. So, I built my first PC, and have been building or re-building my computer ever since. Just finished a complete new build, and was pleased to have it POST the first try -- which has not always been my experience.
