I design software implementations and interfaces, and sometimes tie them to h/w specs as well.
Did this as an engineer for many years, now mostly Tech-PM and similar roles. More recently, I worked on some voice-design implementations, which was an eye-opening experience, in terms of how much about voice we assume (a lot of my assumptions were incorrect, or not quite right anyway) is being done a certain way.
In my non-work life, I pedal a lot (road cycling for about 35 years, some racing off/on), ski faster than I should for my age, backpack some, and travel by bike as well (quite a few longer-distance self-supported bike tours over the years). All of this is pretty inter-mixed with family, so good times all-around.
