I am a computer scientist expert in AR/VR with over 14 years in industry, blending academic research with a track record of delivering impactful consumer systems. A recognized pioneer in cloud gaming and edge computing, my work has consistently pushed the boundaries of interactive experiences.

Currently, at Google, I am one of the leaders of the Android XR OS Platform, focused on architecting the platform for next-generation devices and spearheading crucial improvements in input quality and latency. Previously, as a Tech Lead at Meta (Oculus), I led from its inception the highly influential multi-tasking and display management system for Quest headsets from its initial concept to its major public releases, later delivering improvements to AirLink and its ASW implementation. My foundational work at Microsoft Research included co-founding the Cloud and Edge Mobile Mixed Reality initiative. There, I developed key technologies like Outatime, which significantly reduced latency in online gaming; MAUI, a seminal work in edge computing; and Kahawai, which cut bandwidth for low-latency game streaming by 75%.

My contributions are reflected in 10 peer-reviewed articles and 15 issued patents, which have garnered close to 5000 citations. My work has received Best Paper awards at premier conferences like MobiSys (for “Outatime” ) and COMSNETS (for “CrowdLab” ) and has been featured by Engadget, The Verge, and ZDNet. I hold Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Duke University.
