Type locality: Papua New Guinea, Lissenung Island, Home Reef, 2°39′00″S 150°44′00″E / 2.650000°S 150.733333°E, 2 m depth, , underneath boulder on reef flat.
Holotype: AM W.54019.
Paratypes: AM W.51456 ; SIO-BIC A15677.
Etymology: named after Paulo da Cunha Lana.
