Type locality: off Cape Nomamisaki, Kyushu, Japan, 31°18′31″N 129°58′46″E / 31.3086°N 129.9794°E, depth 219–254 m, on whale-fall sperm whale bones.
Holotype: NSMT-Pol H-598.
