Verb

çuk (aorist çuka, participle çukur) (transitive)

  1. to hit (generally with a hammer-shaped tool in order to perform a specific task)
    Synonyms: cuk, quk
  2. to sieve, separate (cobs, grapes etc. by hitting them with a tool)
    Synonym: shij
  3. to shake (a tree to make its fruits fall on the ground)
  4. to mix (lime or other binding material vigorously with an axe-shaped tool)
