Etymology

Probably related to οὐρά (ourá, “tail”), with a suffix found also in κύμβαχος (kúmbakhos, “headfirst”) and στόμαχος (stómakhos, “throat, gullet; stomach”). See also οὐρᾰχός (ourăkhós, “urachus”).^[1]
