- כִּי יִקָּרֵא קַן־צִפּוֹר לְפָנֶיךָ בַּדֶּרֶךְ בְּכָל־עֵץ אוֹ עַל־הָאָרֶץ אֶפְרֹחִים אוֹ בֵיצִים וְהָאֵם רֹבֶצֶת עַל־הָאֶפְרֹחִים אוֹ עַל־הַבֵּיצִים לֹא־תִקַּח הָאֵם עַל־הַבָּנִים׃
- ki yiqqaré qan tsipór l'fanékha ba-dérekh b-khol 'éts o 'al ha-áretz efroḥím o veitzím v-ha-em rovétzet 'al ha-efroḥim o 'al ha-beitzím lo tiqqáḥ ha-em 'al ha-baním.
- If you come across a bird's nest on any tree or on the ground, and it contains baby birds or eggs, then, if the mother is sitting on the chicks or eggs, you must not take the mother along with her young.
