Etymology
Inherited from Proto-Turkic *abïn-, from Proto-Turkic *abï- (“to enjoy oneself”). Cognate with Old Uyghur 𐰉𐰃𐰨𐰆 (b¹inču /abïnču/, “concubine, prostitute”), Karakhanid اَڤِنْجُو (awïnču, “a thing that gives enjoyment and pleasure; concubine”) and Khorezmian Turkic كویكول اونچاسی (köŋül avunčasï, “comfort of heart”).
