Borrowed from Ashkun [Term?], from Sanskrit अश्रु॑ (áśru, tear). Doublet of ہَن٘جُھو (haṉjhū). Cognate with Dogri अत्थरूं (attharū̃) and Urdu آنسو (ā̃sū).
