Etymology
From تكه (teke, “he-goat”) + ـلنمك (-lenmek, suffix forming passive infinitives from stems ending in front vowels).

تكهلنمك • (tekelenmek)
- (intransitive) to rear up, to rise up on the hind legs, usually referring to a restive he-goat
- (intransitive, figuratively) to assume airs of importance, to act like a parvenu or arriviste
