ـوال • (-wâl)

  1. A suffix added to nouns to form nouns denoting an occupant or an owner ("one who owns or inhabits X"): -man, -person
    ‎هټي (haṭi, “shop”) + ‎ـوال (-wâl) → ‎هټیوال (haṭiwâl, “shopkeeper”)
    ‎هیواد (haywâd, “country”) + ‎ـوال (-wâl) → ‎هیوادوال (haywâdwâl, “citizen”)
