پالرمو

Ottoman Turkish

Etymology

From Italian Palermo, from Sicilian Palermu, from Arabic بَلَرْم (Balarm), ultimately from Latin Panormus, from Ancient Greek Πάνορμος (Pánormos), from πᾰν- (păn-, all) +‎ ὅρμος (hórmos, port), apparently because of the good natural harbor.
