Etymology

    Borrowed from Classical Persian مَسْت (mast). Doublet of मत्त (matt) and माँत (mā̃t). Compare Bengali মস্ত (mosto), Gujarati મસ્ત (mast), Punjabi ਮਸਤ (mast), English musth.
