Inherited from Old Gujarati पूनिम (pūnima), from Prakrit 𑀧𑀼𑀡𑁆𑀡𑀺𑀫𑀸 (puṇṇimā), from Sanskrit પૂર્ણિમા (pūrṇimā). Doublet of પૂર્ણિમા (pūrṇimā) and પુનેમ (punem).
