Etymology tree
Inherited from Apabhramsa अट्ठ (aṭṭha), from Prakrit 𑀅𑀝𑁆𑀞 (aṭṭha), from Sanskrit අෂ්ට (aṣṭá).[1][2] Cognate with Dhivehi އަށް (aṣ̊).
