In Southwestern Tai, cognate with Northern Thai ᨿᩣ᩠ᩅ, Lao ຍາວ (nyāo), Lü ᦍᦱᧁ (yaaw), Shan ယၢဝ်း (yáao), Tai Nüa ᥕᥣᥝᥰ (yäaw), Phake ယွ် (yaw).
