เบียดเบียน

• เบียดเบียฬ — archaic, obsolete or dated

From Old Khmer pēta pēna (“to annoy, to bother, to trouble; to menace, to threaten; etc”), from pēta, piata (“to press; to oppress”) + pēna, piana (“to abuse; to maltreat; to mistreat”), equivalent to Thai เบียด (bìiat) +‎ เบียน (biian). Cognate with Modern Khmer បៀតបៀន (biətbiən).

   • Exodus 1:11, KJV:

     เขาจึงตั้งนายงานให้คนอิสราเอลด้วยงานตรากตรำ

     kǎo jʉng dtâng naai-ngaan hâi bìiat-biian kon ìs-raa-eel dûai ngaan dtràak-dtram

     They did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens.

     แต่ยิ่งชนชาติอิสราเอล ชนชาติอิสราเอลก็ยิ่งทวีมากขึ้น

     But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew.
