Etymology
A less apt modification of 南霍魯遜／南霍鲁逊 (Nánhuòlǔxùn), from 南 (nán), translating Mongolian ᠡᠮᠦᠨᠡ (emün-e, “south”), and a phonetic transcription of Mongolian ᠬᠤᠯᠤᠰᠤᠨ (qulusun, “reed”), from their former presence in the area. The modification is presumably under the influence of the larger nearby 達布遜／达布逊 (Dábùxùn), whose name transcribed a separate Mongolian name.
