     "Several Daeeons said to Yeon, "Would it be proper to abandon China's sounds and create a yulgwan (律管) by yourself?" and everyone thought it was a lie."

2. (auxiliary) marks completion of the main verb, often with the implication that the result is negative [from at least 15th c.]
