    Perhaps inherited from Sanskrit कर्षति (karṣati, “to pull”) with influence from 𑀅𑀇𑀁𑀘𑀇 (aïṃcaï), 𑀅𑀬𑀁𑀙𑀇 (ayaṃchaï, “to pull”), from Sanskrit *अत्यञ्चति (*atyañcati), from अञ्चति (añcati, “to pull”).[2]
