Compare Tawang Monpa /ple⁵⁵/, Burmese လဲ (lai:), Tibetan རྗེ (rje) with the Chinese comparanda 易 (OC *leːɡs, *leɡ, “change, interchange”), 移 (OC *lal, “change, shift”) or 買 (OC *mreːʔ, “buy, purchase”).[1]
