1. used to form certain forms of verb. Denotes: capability (can); permission (can); assurance to perform in future (I will); cohortative form of verb (let's)

   Examples:

   • ‎നടക്ക് (naṭakkŭ, “walk”) + ‎-ആം (-āṁ) → ‎നടക്കാം (naṭakkāṁ, “can walk”)
   • ‎കഴിക്ക് (kaḻikkŭ, “eat”) + ‎-ആം (-āṁ) → ‎കഴിക്കാം (kaḻikkāṁ, “may eat”)
