   ylöspäin ― upwards

   jälkeenpäin ― afterwards

   sielläpäin ― thereabout

   minnepäin ― into which direction

• If the preceding word is an adverb or a particle, such as alas, pois and nurin, the resulting word may also be spelled as two separate words (e.g. alaspäin ~ alas päin).^[1] This applies to the vast majority of -päin adverbs.
