1. (past-tense suffix) Forms the second-person singular past tense of verbs (definite conjugation).

   ‎keres (“to search”) + ‎-ted → ‎kerested (“you (have/had) searched”)

• (past-tense suffix) Variants:

  -tad is added to most back-vowel verbs

  -ted is added to most front-vowel verbs

  -ttad is added to back-vowel verbs ending in a vowel (hí, fú, ó, ró, rí, szí)
