- A taxonomic phylum within the kingdom Fungi – considered a sister group to all other fungi. [from c. 2010]
Usage notes
- Rozella, long the sole genus in Cryptomycota, and two more recently described genera are sometimes treated as members of order Rozellida, class Rozellidea, subphylum Paramycia, phylum Choanozoa, kingdom Protista (ie, not Fungi).
