Hunnerberg
Dutch
Etymology
Attested as Het Valkhof op den Hoenderberg in 1725. Etymology uncertain. Proposed derivations from Latin hunaria (“court of a hundred”), Old Dutch hunderi (“hundred, shire”) or hun (“giant”) are all dubious due to a paucity of old attestations. Compare Huinen.
