Etymology
From Ancient Greek πᾰ́ροικος (pắroikos, “dwelling beside or near, neighbouring”), probably so named because “[t]he pupæ were found in numbers, lying in oval chambers formed by the larvæ between the bark and the wood” by the genus’s describer.[1]
