Reconstruction:Latin/tunce
Latin
Etymology
Adverb
*tunce (not comparable) (Old Latin)
Reconstruction notes
It is conceivable that the Romance reflexes do not continue the archaic *tunce directly and come instead from Classical tunc, later suffixed a second time with -ce. The same ambiguity occurs with *illince.
