Reconstruction:Proto-Finnic/äges
Proto-Finnic
Etymology
Probably borrowed either from Proto-Baltic [Term?] (whence Lithuanian akėčios) or from Proto-Germanic *agiþō;[1] in either case the ultimate origin would be Proto-Indo-European *h₂oḱ-et-eh₂, from *h₂eḱ- (“sharp”).
