Suffixation varies greatly between descendants. Oldest attestations, however, point to a *kumur(s)-ga, and so is adopted here.

Etymology

Perhaps analyzable as *kumur- (“to gnaw”) +‎ *-ga, the latter being a common ending in animal names.
