Reconstruction:Proto-West Germanic/trampan
Proto-West Germanic
Etymology
From Proto-Germanic *trampaną, generally considered of onomatopoeic origin.[1] Alternative theories take the word as an extension of Proto-Indo-European *drem- (“to run”). (Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
