1. though, although, even though, albeit

   Synonyms: bien que, si bien

   Aunque es importante, nadie lo considera así.

   Although it is important, nobody considers it so.

   Voy a juntarme con los amigos, aunque tengo mucho que hacer por la mañana

   I'm going to meet up with friends, even though I have a lot to do in the morning.

2. even if, irrespective of (followed by subjunctive verb form)

   Mañana me voy aunque llueva.

   I'm leaving tomorrow even if it rains.

   Aunque se dé cuenta de que todavía no he hecho lo que pidió, espero que no se enoje. No es que no sepa que ya tengo muchas otras cosas que hacer.

   Even if he realizes I still haven't done what he asked, I hope he doesn't get upset. It's not like he doesn't know that I already have a lot of other things to do.
