Etymology

Derived from thermë.[1] Per Çabej, together with cimb, cimak, cëmat, etc. it is related to thimth, thëmbonj, thumb, etc., with the c:th alteration. Same way related to the family of femc, feme, fëndyell, etc. with the th:f alteration, where c- is the oldest of the three.[2]
