Usage notes
- According to Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) prescriptions, unadapted foreign words should be written in italics in a text printed in roman type, and vice versa, and in quotation marks in a manuscript text or when italics are not available. In practice, this RAE prescription is not always followed.
- camping refers to camping in a private campsite, a designated area with services, improvements and various facilities. On the other hand, campismo is camping in an impromptu area (as one might decide to stop while backpacking or hiking, or simply adjacent to a road through the wilderness).
