Etymology
By analogy with capitalist roadism, itself formed by analogy with capitalist roader, a calque of Chinese 走資派 / 走资派 (zǒuzīpài, literally “one who takes the capitalist road”). By surface analysis, capitalist + road (figurative) + -ist (adjectival suffix).
