Etymology
From Proto-Turkic *tēlbe (“mad, crazy”). Cognate with Turkish deli, Azerbaijani dəli, Bashkir тиле (tile), Kazakh дәлду (däldu), Kyrgyz тели (teli), Uyghur تەلۋە (telwe) and Uzbek telba.
