Etymology

From jenda (to travel) +‎ -esya (causative suffix for verbs where the penultimate vowel in the stem is 'e'). Cognate with Chichewa -yendetsa (to cause to move), Tumbuka -yendeska (to cause to move) and Swahili -endesha (to cause to move).
